COMPANY: Eximius

OVERVIEW

 

Eximius is a company that provides access to very unique golf experiences around the world to its members.


The golf community is very conservative, often with established communities, rules and traditions. Most courses are invitation-only experiences not easily available — no matter how much money you have or what your name is. 

I was hired to design and implement a high-end golf club membership platform that allows high net worth individuals a simple and safe experience. I worked with my client to establish a brand identity, value propositions, and generate excellent customer service at launch.

USER REQUIREMENTS

 

I collected and organized product requirements from the user's perspective to identify the features I need to incorporate into the website.

USABILITY

 

Members can securely register and prepay for upcoming journeys, update personal information, keep track of the events they registered for, contact other participants, and gain access to unique offers and partners.

The membership section is available for registered ​members only and not visible to any other visitors.

CODE CUSTOMIZATION

To guarantee the consistency of design and functionality, I had to learn how to modify the existing code. I created custom registration and login forms that looked like the rest of the UI and matched the identity of the brand.

My client's vision was to provide members with the opportunity to connect.

The system wouldn't make personal information available do to the security settings. I had to come up with an alternative solution.

 

I had to build and display a new database or build a template page for members representation. The second option was chosen by my client because the page would have a personal introduction for each member, which felt more appropriate for our type of user. This was also my preference because I could have more control over design.

RESULT

I didn't just deliver a responsive website, but I also created a business platform my client that offered:

  • Effective communication with its members

  • Marketing opportunities for upcoming events and prospective clients

  • Easy record of payments and transactions

  • New partnership opportunities

Eximius.com is optimized for mobile and desktop. I made sure it maintained the same look and usability on smaller screens.
